Do you regret getting a Telluride

Is this a 2024 model?

Yes, exactly.

I also have a 2024. It’s given me a lot of small issues. The dealer is good at fixing them, but it’s wasted my time at the service department.

So I’m hearing to avoid the 2024 models…

Mine was made in the USA, which I think is where the problem lies. Or maybe they rushed with the 2024 production. I like the car, but I’ve been having so many annoying little issues. I’m driving around with some window trim flapping.

My wife loves it, but she doesn’t deal with any of the issues since I handle everything at the dealership. It’s great for long trips and has plenty of features. The trim and the electrical bugs are just frustrating. It can act weird sometimes, probably due to dirty sensors.

We have all-wheel drive and live in the mountains, but the fuel efficiency is terrible since my area is hilly with lots of curves. We spend about $30-$34 a day on gas with the kids’ soccer, dance classes, and errands. But when I drive in flat areas, it’s great mileage; I can get 25 to 29 mpg.

I regret my Telluride for sure. We decided to never get another Kia.

I really like my Telluride, but my window trim fell off at the car wash. I found out later this has happened to other 2024 units as well. I’ve been waiting for four months to get it replaced. I’ve owned the car for about nine months without that trim. I enjoy how it drives though.

I like it, but I’m not satisfied with where I got it.

For my 2024 Telluride, the keyless entry has been terrible. One door handle had to be replaced already because the sensor failed. Even now, it only works about 75% of the time. That’s not acceptable for a new car. I won’t get another when my lease is up in 18 months.

I’ve had my 2022 SX for 3 years and 42k miles. The warranty replaced the transmission and a few other issues that make me uneasy. Nightfall window trim failed as well. Still, I would make the same deal. I plan to keep it until 100k miles because it’s perfect for my family. My other car is a 2023 4Runner.

I love mine. No regrets at all so far.

No regrets.

I have a 2024 model with 10,000 miles and I’m really enjoying it.

I have a 2023 Telluride in Dawning Red, and I absolutely LOVE it!

People online often complain. The Telluride is a great car. I meet many owners each year, and everyone who buys one tends to be referred by someone who loves theirs. Sure, you can find folks who dislike anything online. I can warn you about some problems, like the window trim, which might fail. I suggest using the OEM parts until they break and then getting them replaced; many people just wrap the trim in vinyl. Other than that, the small plastic panels tend to pop out with heavy use. If you have a reliable dealer, your experience with the Telluride will be very positive and you’ll recommend it to others.

@Blaine
And who are you? You’re just a random person online who thinks their opinions are more valid than others’.

I bought a new Telluride a week ago and love it, even if it’s only been a week.

It’s sad to see you feel so highly of your opinion compared to others.

@Bay
I didn’t mean to offend you. Just relax and enjoy your Telluride.

@Bay
You’re one of those who find faults everywhere, right? I didn’t intend to upset you. Just chill out.

I have a few personal preferences that I don’t like. For example, the windshield wipers don’t work fast enough in heavy rain. I also dislike the captain seats in the second row because my dogs can’t lay down. The headlights are too high, and I keep getting high-beamed by other drivers. I had to replace the shocks, and my closest dealership is hard to get an appointment with because they are always busy. There have been several recalls. Overall, it drives well, aside from in snow, but I might not spend this much again.

Two things I dislike on my 2022 SXP Nightfall.

  1. Seat settings aren’t saved with my key fob, so I have to reset the settings every time my husband drives it.

  2. The cup holders don’t handle various cup sizes well.

The ride is very smooth, and the parking camera is amazing. All in all, it has been a great vehicle so far. I have an appointment scheduled for Tuesday to take care of three recalls.

I have a 2024 LX (had to get a bench seat) for two months. The base model feels loaded with safety and build features. My only issue is the manual tailgate; you have to pull down hard to close it properly. The car drives easily on all terrains. Sometimes it gets up to 25 mpg in the city on eco mode.
