Thinking about a 2024 Telluride but hearing some red flags. Is it really worth it? Would love tips and honest feedback from Telluride owners

Is tax fraud being recommended here?

:joy: That’s not fraud where I live. It’s common practice here in the US and I’ve had audits that confirm this. Know the laws.

Creating a shell LLC for expense claims is definitely tax fraud.

@Baer
I have a master’s in accounting, and I didn’t say to create a shell LLC. Just to create a small business for legitimate expenses. Don’t twist my words.

This was just posted yesterday. There are more issues in the comments. Seems like it could break down any moment after you purchase. And there seems to be a wait for repairs at the dealerships.

@Bly
Using a forum post to claim unreliability is quite a stretch. You’d find similar issues discussed in other brand forums too. Every brand has cars with problems. Would you say ‘might break down’ to Honda or Toyota buyers too? The overall data clearly shows that Tellurides are reliable.

@Caden
Did I hurt your feelings? No one troubles those who say ‘bought mine 6 months ago with no issues’… Whatever you said applies to all those comments too, but you’re quiet about them.

You’re far more likely to have a car without issues according to the data. So pointing at one forum post doesn’t reflect the reality for all buyers. It seems you have a bias against the brand.

@Caden
This is real stuff owners are dealing with. Sorry if that offends you. I just thought the person who posted should be aware, not just the good reports.

Let’s be fair. Various experiences exist. You mentioned your Nissan CVT was great while mine failed early. With any brand, most vehicles run fine.

@Bex
Wow, didn’t expect someone to dive into my history to argue. That’s some serious fan loyalty. It’s a bit excessive.

Clearly trolling.

It’s just fear mongering. There will always be reports for any model. Long-term data is what counts. The noisy few with problems shouldn’t scare buyers away from a top-ranked car.

@Caden
It’s not fear mongering; these are genuine owner experiences. The person who posted should know about issues, not just the positive experiences… And I can’t even take your comparison seriously anymore.

It’s a Kia, regardless of what anyone might say. Pick a more reliable brand.

I guess the experts who analyze real-time data are mistaken. People citing forum posts or old stories are just misinformed…

@Blair
J.D. Power started as a marketing company and sells data to car firms. This doesn’t mean they’re unreliable, but it’s something to keep in mind.

Tesla often ranks low in various metrics for a reason—perhaps because they focus less on marketing compared to others. Just a thought.

What issues have you heard about the 2024 model? I just bought one and am a bit anxious.

It might be a poor investment like any new car. Still, it’s a fantastic vehicle at a great price. We love ours.

I’ve had no problems with mine. The main issue I’ve heard of is that older Kia models are easy targets for theft—back when they had more issues. Other than that, I love my 2023—over 50,000 miles and still no problems.

I have my 2024 SX-P Xline since September. Driven 6k miles, including a 1k mile road trip, with zero problems. :crossed_fingers: I agree it offers great value compared to other SUVs. You get features that cost $30k more elsewhere. Lucky to have gotten mine under MSRP too.

For the 2022 model, I have 40k miles and zero issues.
