Do you regret getting a Telluride

I regret my Telluride for sure. We decided to never get another Kia.

I have a 2024 X-Line and want to trade it in. This is my first Kia and while I have some complaints, they are mostly personal questions like how the seats are uncomfortable and the inability to leave it running while locking it with the fob. I also have concerns about long-term quality based on recalls and other comments from this forum. Reading this thread confirms there are cheap materials in the build. I thought it was just the car wash that tore off my window trim this week but it sounds like it might have been loose beforehand.

I just hit 11,000 miles on my new ride and I really love it! No regrets here.

I love it. We’ve had two Tellurides, and I’m working on convincing my wife for a third one. It’s a great car and we’ve had no issues so far. There are national recalls, but we haven’t had any major problems like engine or vibration issues that others mention. Overall, the car has been fantastic and works well for our needs.

For sure.

No regrets at all. I just wish I hadn’t let my partner choose the color. I’m not a fan of Sangria Red. But after two years with no issues, I’m satisfied.

I’ve had my 2024 for around 8 months and want to get out of it, but I don’t want to take a huge loss. My dealer experience has been awful, especially with the seat recall and installing the hitch. When my lease ends in 18 months, I’m gone. I’ve also had so many problems with Apple CarPlay even with the connecting cord. My wireless options only work for a bit and then stop. It’s absurd for a car in 2024 to not have wireless Apple CarPlay.

@Brogan
The hitch issue is why we sold our 2023 X-line and chose another option. I didn’t realize it didn’t come with one until I had it for a few months. The first Telluride I had was a 2021, which got totaled.

@Dakotah
Yeah, I knew about the hitch but overlooked it. I got an official one installed, it looks and works great, but it left a bad taste and I should’ve listened to my gut.

What kind of Apple cord do you use? Is it USB-A to USB-C or lightning? Try a third party cord.

It’s USB-C. I’ll give that a shot… thanks.

Just so you know, the only port that supports CarPlay is USB-A. The USB-C is only for charging in the Telluride.

All other Kias have wireless AND USB-C for CarPlay.

I have no regrets. I just bought a 2025 Prestige X-Line a month ago. I look forward to driving it every day.

Every car has its quirks, like any other vehicle. The audio system isn’t amazing; I’m not fond of the small skinny wheels. Some small annoyances with the infotainment interface but nothing major.

Overall, I love it. I have fewer annoyances with the Telluride than with other vehicles I’ve owned.

No regrets.

I have a 2020 and bought it new right at the start of the pandemic. It has 66,000 miles now with zero problems.

I own the 2023 SX prestige and it’s almost two years old with 25,000 miles. I have no regrets.

I just bought a Telluride SX Prestige X-Line. This is my third one, and I think it’s the best SUV I’ve had. The amount of tech and premium parts in this ride is fantastic, especially for the price. For $50k, it has all leather seats, massagers, heating and cooling in both front and rear seats, suede lining on top, and three rows of seats including captain chairs in the front two. I could go on. I’m tremendously impressed.

I bought a high-end Volvo hybrid recharge XC90 for less than that!

Less than 50k? Was it old with a salvage title? :slight_smile: A new XC90 with the same options as the Telluride SX-XP is over 20k more. Plus it doesn’t have rear seat cooling and has a smaller screen.

For long trips, having a plug for my laptop is super helpful.

The Telluride has more space for passengers and luggage. To me, it looks better too. The grill between the two speaks volumes. But I like the Telluride’s wheels and general look a lot more.

We love ours. I have the 2024 X-Line and want to see some improvements before getting another:

  • I’d like a bench seat option for the top trim. It can feel like a four seater after adding luggage and I can’t drop friends off at the airport with suitcases.
  • A hybrid option would be nice. Not a must, but it would be helpful.
  • The audio system is lacking. I had to get a sub added after realizing the factory system wasn’t strong enough.
  • Better tech features: the wireless android auto and car play don’t always work well.

And I wish the navigation directions from Google Maps showed up in the heads-up display, like some other cars do.

The cameras and sensors are great, but I shouldn’t need a dashcam since my car already has all this tech. They could add a feature to write to an external USB drive but they haven’t yet.

@Dacey
The sound system is amazing. Do you have the base model?
