Are Tellurides a Bumpy Ride?

It’s the wheel size. My 2022 Sorento SX with the 20s and 45 sidewalls were horrendous. I put on 17s with fatter tires and it’s night and day comfort.

Lot of people seem to think wheel size.

@Blaine
Not think. It’s real firsthand experience.

@Blaine
I have the 18 inch wheels on my Telluride and it rides great.

Go try some 20s with low pro sidewalls and then go back to your 18s. Then report back.

Nope, I have had 20s on other things. I’m not racing this thing. I live in the mountains, so I would rather have the extra sidewall.

@Atlas
Yeah. You totally missed the point.

I’m gonna have to test drive another and see, I guess.

They may have tires inflated way too high.

If you “need” to deflate tires to smooth out the ride, that isn’t a tire inflation problem, that’s a suspension problem.

I suggested tire pressure, assuming that the vehicle is new and nothing mechanically wrong with the vehicle, as something that a technician who is prepping the vehicle can mess up that can lead to a ride quality issue.

Since I have not heard Telluride having this kind of a ride quality issue from anyone who had it.

Overinflated tires do cause the ride to be bumpy, personal experience.

My last truck was a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser. My 2020 Telluride has a much smoother and safer feeling ride.

2022 Telluride rides smooth.

Understood, can’t help with that. Only sharing my experience.

Yeah, I was just letting you know :slightly_smiling_face: I don’t know how much they differ by year.

Own a 22 Telluride EX with 20" wheels. Rides and handles like a luxury brand.

Naw.
