What non-EV cars offer similar technology and features for the price
What features are you looking at? The Stinger was their big sedan and they stopped making it, which says a lot about how well they are doing

@Channing
Nobody’s flagship sedan is doing well.
Everyone wants SUVs, from Kia to Rolls Royce

Lol, check the Camry sales

Toyota sells more RAV4s and Highlanders than Camrys, though they have more SUV than sedan options
@Breck
Yes but the Camry was always a top seller, even before those other models existed

And it hasn’t been Toyota’s top model since (checks notes) the late 80s. I doubt Toyota will sell many LS500s this year
@Breck
The flagship is the top sedan. I’m going to stop before you embarrass yourself

No, on the Lexus site, the LS is clearly referred to as the brand’s top vehicle:

This comment is empty, admin should fix
@Channing
Kia? The same Kia that sells twice as many cars as Mazda every year? The same brand that is third in the world (Kia + Hyundai) behind Toyota and Volkswagen?
I wouldn’t buy a Kia for myself, but looking at the numbers, others certainly do. They seem to be doing well
@Bennet
Not the Stinger, though
@Cleo
My wife has one (22 SX-P), and I completely disagree. It drove better than the X5, XC90, and MDX we tried, not to mention the Atlas, Highlander, Durango, Explorer, and Pilot. It’s been really reliable.
It’s essentially a minivan, so it doesn’t have off-road capabilities. But it’s an AWD minivan that fits 7 comfortably with great features and the best warranty out of all of them
@Breck
You’re entitled to your opinion, but I think most people in the auto world would laugh at the idea that it drives better than an X5. The warranty is great, but there’s a reason they offer it. Nobody would buy from a company involved in a class action lawsuit for engine failures if they didn’t have to
@Cleo
I’m a BMW fan and have owned 3. Want to bet my wife’s Telluride will spend less time in the shop than my 2011 550i M-Sport 6MT did? At least that 550i was quick and had a manual transmission

That’s a completely different car with a different engine. That n63 engine was a disaster. It’s unrelated to a new X5 with a B58 engine. I don’t believe anyone is buying an X5 or a Telluride for speed or manual driving. I’m not sure what your point is, but I hope your engine doesn’t fail. Have a nice evening
@Cleo
Since you’re not connecting the dots, I’ll make it clear. BMWs have a reputation for being problematic and costly to maintain—some models worse than others. A new or certified pre-owned X5 has those issues (not as severe as the N63, I’ll admit), but they’re still present—check the projected ownership costs for an X5 on Edmunds or KBB. So, it’s expensive to own and no one buys an X5 for speed.
What exactly are you gaining for all that extra cost? A better paint job? That ugly plastic grill? Unless you’re just into brand names (which I’m not), it seems like a poor deal
My cousin has a Telluride. They bought it a few years back. Currently has 75k miles with no issues at all
My friend had a Palisade and had to replace the transmission when it was just a year old. It got totaled in December and he’s much happier now with an Atlas

I’ve heard VW is also not very good
@Blair
Haha I agree. I wouldn’t buy either, honestly, but at least the VW has more power
