What are your statistics?

Driving 9,396 miles over 337 hours gives me an average speed of 27.88 mph throughout the car’s lifetime.

I suppose my shorter trips balance out the 85 mph I usually drive on the highway.

What about your stats? Can you surpass my average of 27.88 mph?

How do you all manage to get such high MPG? I’m only getting around 14 mpg, and it’s been really tough financially. That’s honestly my biggest issue with the vehicle.

I average 11 mpg, mostly driving on St. Thomas, where it’s all steep hills. I’ve only put about 3,000 miles on my car in the past year, even though I drive almost every day.

I reset my stats after each oil change. So far, I’ve driven 1,786 miles at 24.1 mpg (ethanol) over 39 hours and 19 minutes, which averages out to about 46 mph. I have a 2021 SXP with 35,000 miles, and I’ve noticed a significant drop in efficiency after 75 mph. One thing I enjoy about driving my wife’s Tesla is how it provides insights like “elevation cost you 1.2% during this drive” or “wind from the southwest helped your range by 1.8%.”

Are you in a very hilly area? I have a lifetime average of 22.6 mpg over 13,000 miles. I’ve been paying closer attention to my mileage lately, especially during hilly drives, and I’ve noticed how much it can drop. I’m curious about how others who commute in hilly areas experience this as well.
