I love my 2022 Telluride. As others have mentioned, it operates quietly and smoothly. The tech is impressive for the price. That said, here are my minor complaints:
MPG could improve. I usually get 22-27, and I’d like better.
The towing capacity is limited to just 5000 lbs. However, I managed to install a 7-pin harness before they stopped offering them.
The side mirror camera takes half a second to activate when turning on the blinker. I love the feature, but it’s a bit slow, which is annoying. While it’s not a big deal, it could be improved. However, many cars do not have this feature at all.
I prefer the ‘23 Palisade’s look over the new Telluride since they changed the front, but I dislike the push-button shifter. Many say you eventually get used to it, but it feels gimmicky to me.
I have a 2020 EX and I really love my car. I thought about trading it in, but I’ve found that everything I consider feels like a downgrade. Kia did an excellent job with this vehicle. I never thought I would own a Kia, but after I test drove the Telluride, I was sold.
A guy at my gym owns a Palisade and swears there’s more space in the third row. I don’t think that’s true, but aside from that, we’ve noted similar features between the two cars.
I’ve owned many vehicles, including several luxury Asian cars. The overall fit and finish of the Telluride is on par with them. No brand is perfect, but the Telluride feels as good as a $70,000 BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, or Acura. I can’t speak for the Palisade, and I’m talking about the SX-P model. I’ve owned it for two years and have nearly no complaints.
It’s a great value. There are a couple of annoying design flaws for winter drivers (like how the windshield collects ice on the driver’s side). The biggest concern is that they don’t have a towing solution right now. They had a recall last year, and they still have no answer. If you need to tow, I can’t recommend it.

I thought that was just an issue with the wiring harness.
Without the wiring harness, you can’t tow anything.
I mean, it isn’t a structural issue with the actual vehicle, just electrical. I thought the recall only affected the earlier models and didn’t see any mention regarding the 2023s. Is it too new for that?
@Addison
There’s no recall for the 2023s because they’re just not putting the harness on at all…the same goes for the x-pro with its upgrades to improve tow capacity.
@Addison
They never released the tow harness or hitch for the 2023s because they lack a solution. I’m driving a vehicle with leveling and a tow mode that I can’t use. I can’t tow without the wiring to connect the lights to the trailer. I could get a third-party hitch for bike racks and such, but no towing. There’s a third-party wiring harness floating around, but considering the ongoing recall related to fire risks, I’d be very cautious about using it, if you can even find it.
@Bright
I was thinking about using a CURT hitch and harness. Without any current recalls, I don’t see why that would be an issue. I’ll check with CURT and share what I learn.

I’m not sure that harness will solve the issue, but I’d be thrilled if I’m wrong. I heard about an off-brand that someone claimed worked, but on the Telluride forums, it seems there isn’t a safe solution available right now.
I believe that requires bypassing the factory CAN solution, which might negate the tow features built into the higher-end Tellurides. So while this is an option, I’d rather not risk any issues and prefer to stick with factory wiring. I wouldn’t mind switching for the hitch though.
