I’d like to share some context on what I’m looking for.
I stand at 6 feet 6 inches and I’m after as much legroom as I can get. I recently had back surgery, involving a spinal fusion and tumor removal, so I need to drive using my left foot for a while.
I’m curious about how comfortable the ride is. I want it to handle the potholes and rough roads in Colorado smoothly, considering my back needs a gentle ride.
I’m also looking for a vehicle that’s easy to get in and out of and has good headroom.
I was attracted to some of the smart driving features, especially as other manufacturers are advancing with semi-autonomous options.
I need something that can flat tow my wife’s Jeep in case of emergencies. We also attend Craft Fairs and events, so cargo space with the seats folded down is a big plus. We’re looking at a towing capacity of at least 5000 pounds.
My Corolla has been great in its own way, but it’s not comfortable for me right now and isn’t suitable for long drives since a truck didn’t work for me either; the front-end bounce hurt my back. I’ll be on long road trips Monday through Friday for radiation treatment over the next three months.
I’m a tech enthusiast and really like the added features. Kia does a great job balancing these with reasonable pricing compared to other brands. I’m considering the SX Prestige X Pro for a long-term commitment.
We take good care of our vehicles, don’t drive them hard, and we stick to maintenance schedules.
We have no pets and no kids; we just want the space, utility, and comfort of a midsized SUV. I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback
I’m 6’5 and absolutely love my Telluride. We got the same model you’re looking at, and it’s comfortable in every seat. It’s such a huge upgrade from our 2019 Land Rover Discovery, which was not comfortable for me at all.
The best advice is to take it for a test drive yourself. Comfort is subjective, so never buy a car without testing it and making adjustments to your liking.

I recommend looking for one with 18-inch rims. Mine drives really well on bad roads.
I appreciate this comment. I learned my lesson with low profile tires on my Corolla, which couldn’t handle potholes. I’ve gone through a few wheels and sets of warranty tires because of it.
My coworker, who is over 6 feet tall, recently tried mine and said he only had one concern about his knees being too close to the center console, as he couldn’t put his right leg over it due to its height.
You’ll probably fit comfortably, but definitely test drive one first! The only time my husband feels cramped is when we have a baby in a rear-facing car seat in the middle row. It’s not ideal; it can be a little tight, but otherwise, he adjusts the seat comfortably. If you go for captain’s chairs in the second row, you can slide them forward or backward for better legroom as well.
I’m 6’4 and weigh 260. We have a 2024 model and drove it from Texas to Disney World. It was easy to drive and very comfortable, but my knee hits the center console often, which is annoying, so I placed a towel there. That’s my only real complaint.
I own the 2024 SX Prestige Xline. It’s comfortably the most forgiving vehicle I’ve had. The ride quality is great. The smart cruise control truly enhances my work commute on Denver highways.

Just curious, did you have a dealer you enjoyed working with?
@Cal
Sorry, I rarely check my notifications. I used Arapahoe Kia, and they were okay. It was typical dealership stuff, trying to sell overpriced packages for tinting or floor mats, and it took a while to process the sale, but nothing too dreadful.
