I really like the car, but after reading some reviews, are you all satisfied with this purchase?

Hi everyone,
I currently drive a 21 Forte and am considering the Telluride for next year. However, after reading recent posts about issues like roof rail and pedal leaks, I’m starting to doubt its reliability compared to my Forte. Are you satisfied with your new purchase?

I got mine in ’21 and couldn’t be happier. However, reading current reviews makes it seem like all manufacturers have declined since the pandemic. It feels like it’s going to be a hit or miss.

I absolutely love my Telluride. Many posts highlight issues because people tend to share negative experiences more than positive ones. Positive experiences don’t disrupt people’s days, so they’re less often shared. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt, as individual experiences can vary widely. Since you own a Forte, you’re familiar with Kia’s service. I’d suggest test-driving a Telluride to see if it meets your expectations.

I transitioned from a Forte to a Telluride and love it. Keep in mind that the few people who post about problems represent a small minority. Most owners have no issues and aren’t posting updates to say everything is running smoothly.

I like my 2023 Telluride Prestige, but I’ve found the service at Kia dealerships to be unsatisfactory. When it’s time for my next car, I won’t be considering a Kia due to these service issues.

I have a 2020 EX with 75,xxx miles, which I bought new. About 40k miles in, we had a problem with the rear driver shock, but other than that, it was fine until recently. It’s now shifting oddly and shuddering as if the torque converter is slipping. I’ve scheduled an appointment, but it’s two weeks out because all the nearby Kia dealerships are booked. The dealership mentioned it might be the TCM (Transmission Control Module), but we’ll see. I’m trying to avoid driving it if possible.

Overall, the vehicle has been quite reliable until recently. The features are good for the price, but I’m uncertain if I would choose another one, especially given the number of complaints about newer models. However, keep in mind that dissatisfied customers often make more noise than those without issues, so consider this information with that in mind.
